BREAKING: Police Check Point Attacked,  Patrol Van Burnt In Ebonyi | READ DETAILS

A police checkpoint along the Abakaliki-Enugu Highway was on Thursday, attacked by yet to be identified Gunmen.

According to reports, the Gunmen attacked the police personnel, at the Ishieke Junction on the outskirts of Abakaliki metropolis, setting their patrol van on fire.

One policeman was reportedly killed while another was kidnapped.

Confirming the attack to newsmen, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu, said;

“An incident happened this morning, but I am still trying to put the details.

“At this point, I can’t confirm much. Let me get my facts right.

“I just got information that there was an attack at that point, but I don’t have any other information.”
