Lawmakers Dump YPP For Labour Party in Abia | Read Details
Two members of the Abia State House of Assembly have dumped the Young Progressives Party, YPP for the Labour Party.
They are;
Hon. Nwogu Iheanacho, member representing Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency and Hon. Fyne Ahuama Onyekachi, representing Osisioma Ngwa South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly.
Recall that the duo had been expelled from the YPP over alleged anti party activities.
Their defection letters were read before the Assembly by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa during Tuesday’s plenary.
Hon. Nwogu who until his resignation was the Deputy Whip of the House, and Hon. Ahuama pledged their total support for Alex Otti’s led administration hinging on the fact that the “Labour Party is founded on the tenets of justice and fair play.”
