ADC appoints Labour Party’s Nenadi Usman as reconciliation chairman
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has appointed former Minister of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, as Coalition Chairman to oversee party affairs and drive reconciliation efforts in Kaduna State.
The move comes as part of efforts to resolve the lingering crisis within the party’s Kaduna State chapter.
DAILY POST reports that Usman is the National Chairman of the Peter Obi faction of the Labour Party. She was appointed to replace the embattled Julius Abure.
The ADC National Vice Chairman (North-West), Ja’afaru Sani, disclosed this while addressing a press conference in Kaduna.
Sani said the party was prioritising unity among opposition actors, warning against political interference allegedly aimed at weakening ADC in the state.
He also announced that coalition leaders had agreed to sanction expelled members who filed a legal action against a national leader of the party, an act he described as an internal dispute that had slowed ADC’s progress.
ADC, Labour Party, Nenadi Usman,
