Anambra governorship election: EFCC arrests three suspected vote buyers
No fewer than three alleged vote buyers have been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, during the ongoing Anambra State governorship election.
The suspects were apprehended at different locations while voting was still in progress.

According to the anti-graft agency, one Emeka Ilokasia was arrested at Ward 2, Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
Similarly, Nwachuwu Loretta was taken into custody at Ward 2 (008), Awkuzu, Oyi LGA, while Emuka Chuwudi was arrested at Umunachi village in Dukonukofia LGA.

“All the suspects were arrested while participating in the governorship election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” EFCC posted on its official Facebook page.
