PDP is dead – Fayose insists
Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has insisted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is dead in Nigeria.
Fayose made the statement on Tuesday during an interview on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television monitored by DAILY POST.
He was reacting to the internal political wranglings afflicting the main opposition party.
DAILY POST reports that, for the second time, a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday restrained the PDP from holding its 2025 National Convention, scheduled for November 15-16, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Reacting, Fayose said, “I said to you about a year ago that the PDP is in trouble and if you don’t find that solution on time, the party will be dead and the party is dead.”
He added, “The Governor of Taraba has been handed over to the APC National Chairman by President Tinubu. The Governor of Plateau will leave the PDP very soon, and after him, another governor will follow.”
Fayose, PDP,
