2025 U-17 WWC: Flamingos will be ready for Italy test – Olowookere
Flamingos head coach Bankole Olowookere is looking to his side’s Round of 16 clash against Italy.
Olowookere’s side booked a spot in the Round of 16 at the ongoing 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup after a comfortable 4-0 victory over Samoa on Saturday.
The Flamingos qualified as one of the best third-placed teams.
Italy won all three group games and are favourites to win the game.
The gaffer claimed facing a tough opposition will be a good test for his team.
“It’s good that we have strong opposition, to prepare us for the next game. We have to work on those areas where they were able to penetrate from our team,” he was quoted by FIFA.com.
