2026 WCQ: Super Eagles will be happy to win 1-0 in South Africa — Chelle
Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle has said his team will be happy to record a slim victory over Bafana Bafana of South Africa, DAILY POST reports.
The three-time African Champions revived their chances of securing a place at the 2026 FIFA World with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Rwanda in Uyo on Saturday.
Nigeria climbed to third position on the Group C table with the win.
The Super Eagles will face the Bafana Bafana at the Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein next week Tuesday looking to close the gap on Hugo Broos’ side.
Chelle said the most important thing is for his team to win, and not the scoreline.
“If we win 1-0 in South Africa, we will be happy.The most important thing is the three points,” the Malian said.
