Abel Enitan Replaces Suspended Minister, Betta Edu

The suspended minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, has been replaced by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan.

The replacement was disclosed in a letter from the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

This development is in line with the directive issued by President Bola Tinubu, who suspended Edu on Monday over her alleged involvement in a N585 million fraud.

Edu was suspended following outcries over her alleged transfer of public funds to a private account. She is currently under investigation.
