Abdul Samad Rabiu Pledges $500,000 To Super Eagles If They Beat Morocco In AFCON Semi-Final – Arise News
BUA Group Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu has pledged major financial incentives to Nigeria’s Super Eagles ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against Morocco.
In a post shared on X on Saturday, Rabiu congratulated the national team for their victory over Algeria and announced cash rewards tied to performance against Morocco and the final.
“Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria!” Rabiu wrote.
“You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals.”
He announced a $500,000 reward for the players if they defeat Morocco, alongside a goal-based bonus.
“To encourage you, I pledge USD $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi-final, with an additional USD $50,000 for every goal scored,” he said.
Rabiu further raised the stakes should Nigeria go on to lift the trophy, pledging a $1,000,000 reward for winning the final, with additional bonuses for goals scored.
“Should you go on to win the final, I further pledge USD $1,000,000, plus USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final,” the statement added.
He concluded his message with words of encouragement and national pride, writing: “Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward. Keep making Nigeria proud. Proudly Nigerian.”
The Super Eagles face Morocco in the semi-finals on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, as they continue their push for a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title, with Rabiu’s pledge adding further motivation ahead of the decisive encounter.
