Mr Ceekay Igara, the Abia State Labour Party Chairman and the Chairman of the Labour Party council of State Chairmen in the Federation has felicitated to Abians and Indeed Nigerians on new month and the 63rd Independence anniversary celebrations.
In his words, he charged Abians not to loose focus as it seems no reason to celebrate as a Nation and assured that better days are ahead.
His message as made available to Trustbase News reads:
“HAPPY NEW MONTH; HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY
Every October 1st, we celebrate freedom from our colonial masters. Though it seems we do not have absolute reasons to celebrate as a nation, we are for one, a nation blessed by God as we have our own freedom.
We’ve done so much to build our very own culture and heritage, so let’s celebrate it today.
As Nigeria marks her 63rd independence anniversary today, it is the prayer of all well meaning Nigerians that God gives us good leaders.
May this Independence Day lay a foundation for a better Nigeria and reignite the hope of the average citizen of this great nation.
