Following the 70,000 naira new minimum wage resolution between the federal government and the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, the Abia state government led by governor Alex Otti, has fixed October 2024, to commence payment.
This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, on Monday, while briefing the media on the outcome of the week’s State Executive Council meeting chaired by the state governor, Alex Otti.
According to the commissioner, the payment “will cut across all categories of workers.”
