CAFCL: Rivers United will get better — Finidi
Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George says his team will build on the winning momentum after their qualification for the second round of the CAF Champions League.
The Pride of Rivers eliminated Democratic Republic of Congo side, FS Les Aigles 1-0 on aggregate in the first round.
Rivers United will trade tackles with Mozambican side, Black Bulls in the second round.
Finidi admitted that the next round will be tougher.
“We know it won’t be easy, but we’ll build on this win. The most important thing is that we scaled through this round and can now focus on our next opponent,” Finidi told Sports247.
Rivers United will travel to Maputo for the first leg on Friday, 17 October before going back to Uyo for the return leg where the winner over the legs will make it into the group stage.
