Chelsea Fined £10.75m by Premier League, Handed Suspended One-Year Transfer Ban – Arise News
The Chelsea FC have been fined £10.75 million by the Premier League and handed a one-year transfer ban that has been suspended for two years.
Under the sanctions, the club will also serve a nine-month transfer ban related specifically to academy signings.
The disciplinary measures follow regulatory breaches identified by the Premier League, which imposed the financial penalty alongside the conditional transfer restriction.
Because the senior transfer ban has been suspended for two years, Chelsea will only face the restriction if the club commits further violations during the probation period.
However, the academy transfer ban will take effect immediately, preventing the London club from registering new youth players for the duration of the nine-month sanction.
The punishment represents one of the most significant financial penalties handed to a Premier League club in recent years and places additional scrutiny on Chelsea’s recruitment operations.
