The deputy governor of Edo State, Phillip Shaibu, has finally been impeached by the state House of Assembly.
Shaibu was impeached during the Assembly’s plenary session on Monday, April 8, in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The impeachment followed the adoption of the report of the seven-man investigative panel set up by the Assembly to probe allegations of misconduct against Shaibu.
