The Federal High Court in Abuja has nullified the Governorship Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo State that produced Asue Ighodalo as its candidate on February 22.
Justice lnyang Ekwo, declared that the PDP nomination processes were not in compliant with the party’s constitution on the ground that 378 delegates who were supposed to vote at the primary election were unlawfully excluded.
Justice Ekwo determined that the Exhibit PDP 1, presented by the party, lacked supporting evidence. He further ruled that the plaintiffs successfully proved their case against the defendants by submitting relevant exhibits.
The suit was instituted by one Kelvin Mohammed in a representative capacity of the aggrieved delegates.
