How woman was caught supplying ammunition to terr-orists in Katsina | Read Details
A woman identified as Aisha Abubakar, has been arrested while transporting ammunition to terro-rists in Katsina state.
According to a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Monday, the ammunition was discovered during a routine search of Abubakar’s luggage.
She was said to have initially denied any involvement with terr0rists but later admitted.
“The authorities discovered the ammunition in her luggage during a routine search.
“She initially denied involvement but later confessed to be transporting the ammunition to terro-rist group from Nassarawa state.
“During the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed that she was heading to Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa LGA in Katsina state.”
“The incident highlights the ongoing efforts to combat terroris-m and the importance of vigilance in preventing the proliferation of illegal weapons” Mama wrote.
