Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed confidence that the support of his constituents will result in his re-election.

Kalu who was speaking to journalists in his Igbere residence on Thursday, said he does not win elections through rigging but with the genuine votes of the people.

The senator, who was reacting to what Governor Alex Otti said about election riggers in Abia, emphasized that his previous election victories as governor and senator were not due to electoral malpractice.

“I have never rigged elections and I will never support that. I only want the will of the people to prevail,” Kalu said.

Kalu also accused Otti of allowing his media aides to attack him on social media.
