Owerri- The Imo State Chapter of the Labour Party has requested for the removal of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Sylvia Agu ahead of the November 11, 2023. This was as the Members and Chieftains of the Party led by the state Party Chairman Callistus Ihejiagwa protested today and Marched to the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission to make their demand at the INEC’s office in Owerri along Port Harcourt road.
There has been suspicion of the control of the REC by the State Governor.
