The Labour Party has accused some section of the media of misrepresenting the judgement given today by the Supreme Court of Nigeria on the matter between Julius Abure and Nenadi Usman over the leadership of the party.
The Labour Party in a short statement issued by it’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, said;
“Supreme Court strikes out Nenadi, Abure suits. Says only Political Parties can determine who their leaders are. It also said that the courts dabble into the affairs of the political parties. Abure is still the National Chairman of the Labour Party.”
In an updated statement, the Labour Party said it is hosting a world conference by 4pm today.
“It has come to our notice about the judgement of the Supreme Court of today concerning the Labour being massively misrepresented in the media and consequently we are calling for a World Press Conference Today Friday, 4pm prompt.
