The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has commended the decisions and convictions of the newly received Party Members to the ruling Party in Kano, who according to him has admitted the truth amid political gimmick being spread by opposition parties.
The Governor who expressed happiness on Tuesday while receiving the decampees who are top members from other parties, including Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and the National Rescue Movement (NRM) who also contested various elective positions in 2023 general elections in the State.
“I was pleased to receive 30 leading members of opposition parties who decamped to the ruling New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), on Tuesday.
“The decampees include top ranking members who contested various elective positions in 2023 general elections in Kano under the platforms of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and the National Rescue Movement (NRM).
“While receiving the decampees, I commended their decision and conviction to admit the truth amid political gimmick being spread by opposition parties.
“I further reminded them that the NNPP administration would sustain unwavering commitment to socio-economic development especially across all critical sectors of the economy. – AKY”
