NPFL: Abia Warriors must keep striving for the best – Imama
Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo hopes his side can continue their upward trajectory by coming out with a win against Shooting Stars, DAILY POST reports.
The Umuahia are unbeaten since their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.
Abia Warriors will be guests of Shooting Stars in a Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday nine encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasinga, Ibadan on Sunday (today).
The Umu Chineke moved to second position on the table after a 2-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors last weekend.
Imama is optimistic his side will better their performance from last season.
“We can only be tagged a failure if by May, the league comes to an end and we are not able to get back to where we were as in the past season, and most importantly, first time for the team itself being in the continent,” he told the club’s media.
