The Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved the appointment of Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan as his Chief Press Secretary along with four other appointments.
A statement by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mojuwa Olusegun, said the appointments would take effect immediately.
The appointment comes hours after he was sworn in as the governor of Ondo State following the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Wednesday morning after a protracted illness.
Other appointees are Smart Omodunbi Jnr. as Special Assistant on Political Matters, Mr. Sunday Night Live, Special Assistant on New Media, Miss Motunrayo Oyedele SA on Photography, while Dr. Temitayo Iperepolu was appointed as the Special Assistant on Domestic and Government House.
 As Richard Olatunde, Chief Press Secretary to Akeredolu and Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties, Dare Aragbaiye had resigned their appointments.
The duo’s resignations on Wednesday come hours after the death of Governor Akeredolu in Germany.
