Senate has passed the bill to return to the old national anthem, “Nigeria, we hail thee”.
The bill tagged “National Anthem Bill 2024 was passed into law on Tuesday, May 28.
The bill rapidly cleared both its first and second readings and now awaits President Bola Tinubu’s signature to become law.
This follows the House of Representatives’ passage of the bill on Thursday, May 23.
