Suspected cable vandal electrocuted again in Aba
Barely three weeks after the electrocution of an electric cable vandal in Abia’s commercial nerve centre Aba, another person suspected to be a electric cable thief has died in a similar circumstance
Eyewitness accounts say the unidentified man said to be in his thirties was discovered dangling on a transformer stand at Omuma Road of the city, by early this Tuesday morning (19/8/25).
The incident is suspected to have happened on Monday night while he was trying to vandalize power installation.
Some residents who expressed their feelings about the incident, complained that the activities of vandals were posing major concern to them, while others called for thorough investigation into the matter.
Recall, sometime in May 2025, a suspected vandal was electrocuted in May at Ogbo Hill area of Aba, while on 24 July 2025, another man was electrocuted at Ehi Road in Aba before the latest incident.
