Tinubu not visiting U.S. – Presidency refutes report | READ DETAILS
On the heels of president Donald Trumps threat to withdraw aids and order military invasion into Nigeria over the killin-g of Christians, Nigeria’s presidency has described as false, report that president Bola Tinubu will visit the United States on Tuesday.
Taking to his X handle on Monday, November 3, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, said the report by Sahara reporters stating that Tinubu will visit the vice president of U.S., J.D. Vance is false, adding that if Tinubu were to visit the White House, he would be meeting with President Donald Trump, not the Vice President.
He wrote,
“There is a Sahara Reporters story that President Tinubu is going to the US on Tuesday to see US Vice President J.D Vance. That story is not true. I can see that the fake news by Sahara has become the basis for some uninformed commentaries since yesterday. If President Tinubu is going to the White House, he won’t be going to see a Vice President.”
