Transfer: Barcelona to sell seven players to register Nico Williams, Joan Garcia
Barcelona might have to offload up to seven players this summer, to enable them register a new signing, Joan Garcia and top transfer target Nico Williams.
The LaLiga Champions have already announced a deal for Garcia, who joins from their rivals Espanyol.
They are now pursuing a move for Athletic Club winger Williams.
However, they might not be able to register both players for the new season.
But Mundo Deportivo claims Barca are confident they will not need to make a big sale to achieve that goal.
The Catalans have now put Ansu Fati, Pau Victor, Pablo Torre, Inaki Pena, Oriol Romeu, Andreas Christensen, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen up for sale.
Barcelona have been in dire financial straits for years now, with the club’s debts rising into the billions. They have been hamstrung by not being able to abide by La Liga’s 1:1 rule – where a team can only spend as much as their accounts and income allow.
But club president Joan Laporta has stated that will not be an issue next season and “exciting” times are ahead.
barcelona, Joan Garcia, Nico Williams,
