Transfer: Why Fermin Lopez didn’t leave Barcelona for Chelsea – Yamal
Barcelona forward, Lamine Yamal, has claimed that Fermin Lopez was never interested in moving to Chelsea.
Lopez was linked with a move to the Premier League club in the summer window that just closed.
Chelsea are believed to have offered 50m for the player.
However, a move did not materialize and Lopez will continue this season with the Spanish champions.
“We were joking with Fermín about moving to England… but he’s happy at Barcelona. No one wants to leave.
“We asked him about that bid from England but Fermín said he’s happy here, he had no plans to leave,” Yamal told TVE.
