Transfer: Why my move to AC Milan collapsed – Boniface opens up
Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface, has spoken for the first time since his move to AC Milan collapsed.
Boniface was expected to join the Serie A side on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.
He travelled to Milan for his medicals, during which the Rosseneri became uncomfortable with some of the test results.
They eventually decided to pull the plug on the deal, but Boniface has since joined Werder Bremen on a loan deal.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Boniface said: “The Milan deal not going through, that’s not on me. They decided not to go through with.
“I have a strong mentality. If the deal was meant to happen, it’s meant to happen.
“If it wasn’t meant to happen, I move on to the next thing…”
