Two weeks after election, insecurity will stop – Nigerian Senate President Akpabio
Godswill Akpabio, President of the Nigerian Senate has stated that the deteriorating security situation in the country would be over two weeks after the forthcoming general elections.
Akpabio spoke on Tuesday at the official launch of the Nigerian Revenue Service Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
According to him, President Bola Tinubu is performing so well and those opposed to him do not know what to do than to instigate violence and sponsor insecurity.
He said, “Insecurity is increasing because elections are coming, because people don’t know what to do again.
“Immediately after the election, two weeks after the election, insecurity will stop. The insecurity is being sponsored by people”.
DAILY POST reports that the security crisis took another turn for the worst recently with some military commanders and several soldiers paying the supreme price.
President Tinubu on Monday met behind closed-door with service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, IGP.
