UCL: Galatasaray coach uncertain Osimhen will face Liverpool
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has said the club will evaluate Victor Osimhen’s fitness before deciding on his availability for their next game against Liverpool.
Osimhen made a cameo appearance for the Turkish Süper Lig Champions in the 1-0 win at Alanyaspor on Friday night.
The striker missed Galatasaray’s previous three games after sustaining an ankle injury on international duty earlier this month.
Buruk revealed that the forward is still experiencing pain despite his return to action.
“We will closely evaluate his pain and physical condition before deciding on his involvement in the next match,” the coach was quoted as saying by Turkish news outlet Reformhaber.
Galatasaray will welcome Liverpool to Rams Park for a Champions League Matchday Two encounter next Tuesday.
