UCL: Romeo Lavia faces lengthy spell out injury – Chelsea manager Maresca
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has admitted that Romeo Lavia could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury.
Lavia lasted only six minutes in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Belgian midfielder has struggled with fitness issues since joining the Blues from Southampton.
Speaking to the media after the game in Baku, Maresca expressed his disappointment over the setback.
“We feel a shame for Romeo Lavia. He’s not able to be fit for a long, long period,” Maresca said.
“We will see now. It’s too early to understand what kind of injury. I think it’s his quad.”
