Former Premier League striker, Chris Sutton, has hit out at Kylian Mbappe after Real Madrid lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Mbappe missed a second-half penalty with the Reds leading 1-0.
Although Mohamed Salah also missed from 12 yards, Liverpool got a second through Cody Gakpo’s header from a corner-kick.
Sutton, speaking after the game on BBC Radio 5 Live, was critical of Mbappe who is enduring a tough debut season with the LaLiga champions.
“At this moment in time there is something missing for Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid, which will be a real conundrum for Carlo Ancelotti,” Sutton said.
“Let’s get it right. He had a stinker tonight. Missed the penalty and was miles off it. Him going there was supposed to take them to the next level.”
