WAFCON 2026Q: Abiodun motivates Super Falcons with N50m
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has doled out N50m to the Super Falcons ahead of their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic, DAILY POST reports.
The Super Falcons defeated the Amazons 2-0 in the first leg.
Justine Madugu’s side will entertain their neighbours in the reverse fixture at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta on Tuesday (today).
The players, and their officials visited Abiodun at his office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta on Monday.
Abiodun said the gesture is in recognition of the Super Falcons inspiring performances, and to further motivate the team for the task ahead.
Tonight’s encounter will kick-off at 4pm Nigerian time.
