Why Pilot Landed Asaba After Announcing Abuja Destination – United Nigeria Airline Explains
Management of United Nigeria Airline, has apologised after one of its aircraft, NUA, 0504, which took off from Lagos landed Asaba in Delta state instead of Abuja.
Recall that some passengers took to X on Sunday to lament that they found themselves at Asaba airport after a cabin crew announced that they had arrived the scheduled destination, Abuja.
Reacting, the airline in a statement, claimed that the pilot observed a temporary diversion owing to poor weather condition.
“However, a wrong announcement was made by cabin crew upon landing safely in Asaba creating confusion among passengers” the statement read in part.
It added;
We sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding on our Lagos to Abuja Flight (26/11/2023). We are currently taking steps to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Our flight has landed safely in Abuja and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
