
A demonstration of jungle justice was meted out on a man who was suspected to have stolen a motorcycle in Adamawa State. The victim was burn to death by an angry youths .
The incident which happened on Thursday at Ngurore market in the Yola-South Local Government Area of the state.
The mob reportedly poured Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also called petrol and set fire to the victim, after he was alleged to have stolen a motorcycle.
An eyewitness told reporters that “I guess the angry mob resorted to jungle justice as deterrent measure because of the frequent theft of vehicles in this area.”
“It was horrible to watch a fellow human being burn to death,” the eyewitness narrated.
The spokesperson for the police in the state, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident saying, “Yes, a man suspected to have stolen a motorcycle was burnt to death at Ngurore. But we don’t know his identity as of now.”
